Dear Pas. H. Family,
Last evening I and Bro. I (an engineer, driver, house-builder...)
went to Shinjyuku S. Church, where all
the willing volunteers to support EQ victims gathered. Throughout
our 3 hrs meeting, we have come up with the following:
1. The Lord's on-site troops are splitted into 3 units this time:
a. Search: go ahead of other 2 units, try to find key person(s) in
the area and gather info. regarding to the immediate needs. All the
list of needs are transmitted through email and shared with team b.,
c. and Shinjyuku HQ. (number of participants: 4)
b. Logistics: serves as a pipeline from Tokyo area to disaster sites
warehouse. (9 persons, also work as c. distri. team)
c. Distribution: make grass-roots level distribution efforts,
reaching out those worst of the worse in that domain.
a. Search team is leaving today (3/29),
b. & c. is scheduled to leave on 3/30 and 3/31.
2. Function of HQ is as follows:
a. Admin. issues
b. Fundraise / encourage Corporations to give away their products
c. Appeal to the Gov.t of Jp for the immediate supportive fund ~
longer term aid
d. Create Job opportunities to the able laborers
3. Location in consideration:
Siogama city, Miyagi Pref.
Base Camp: Shiogama Bible Baptest Church
4. Tasks on this trip:
- Info. gathering (needs of victims, recovery level of city hall and
other gov.tl function, volunteer center, key persons...)
- SWOT (analysis) of the situation: what we can do for the needs reported
- Help as many
Hide has to stay in Saitama area but Bro. I is joining on 3/31
and planning to come back on 4/2, with the update of the realities in
5. Our (at least I, Bro. I's) goal is:
Not only a short term assistance: for after 3 months or so, there
will be a time when suddenly flow of aid / support slows and
disappears. Most aid organizations as well as Christian org.s will
leave the people behind, even though the real challenge occurs from
Therefore, we are planning further to create job opportunities to
the locals in reconstruction effort, connecting their needs with
gov.nt'l assistance and make the rebuilding process as smooth and
involving as possible. Yes, "Involving."
The victims now will be able, enthusiastic laborers in the future. All
we have to do is to invite them to work together, provide know-hows
and skills, needed tools. Salaries paid will support the family and
the dignity of the men and women "involved." I believe that this is so
far the vision I was displayed, and Bro. I and I came to agree
with this blueprint.
This is only hope that, you may also be interested in this
"Involvement." Pls. continue to pray to our merciful Lord, the swift
recovery done by Thee and Thy Kingdom servants.
Bible says, "If You will, You can (do Anything.)"
The following answer, will be presented in our site by Jesus Christ himself.
I wait on you, Lord.
God Bless you,
On 3/29, small distribution project is executed to 21 refugees from
Fukushima Pref.. They are now staying at M. Elementary School,
which will be closed and soon reformed into elders' home this July.
School building now had loundries hunged from the window, a familier
look as of all refugee camps. About 8 kids were playing in the rather
empty play field.
On that day I could deliver the following goods:

Drawing books (x 2)
Memo pad (x2)
Ball-point pens (x10)
Sewing kit (x1)
Small Balls (x11)
Larger Ball (x1)
Valley Ball (x1)
Air compressor for balls (x1)
Badminton rackets and shuttle (x1)
Blow-(soap)-bubbles kit (x1)
Oxydol / alcohol for sterilization (x1)
Officers in the camp claimed that immediate needs for the refugees are:
- More Hygine products
- Bicycles (now only 2 available. 2 units / 21 persons, and they have
to travel to public bath which is about 3km away.)
On the way out of the camp, I could come in contact with N.3 Obachans
(elder women) in the neighborhood. I conveyed to them the above info
also, so the local communities can also participate in the supportive
